Social Action for Rural Development (SARDA), working on development issues since its inception in year 2003 holds expertise in conducting Social Impact Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, Forest Development Agencies (FDA) Evaluation, Preparation of Detailed DPR, Micro Plan for Joint Forest Management Areas, PRA exercise, Baseline Survey and Research & Planning Services. SARDA has been providing its technical expertise of planning and research work to various clients including Central and State Government and independent Agencies in 5 states of India (Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra). The assignments taken up in the FY 2016-17 are as follows:
| 1 | SARDA has been granted accreditation by Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Land Acquisition Directorate, Government of Jharkhand as agencies for “Social Impact Assessment Units for whole of Jharkhand” on dated December 15, 2016 valid for three years and in the FY 2016-17 has completed 16 Social Impact Assessment in the districts of Godda, Sahebganj, Chatra, Bokaro, Garhwa, Pakur, Jamtara, Khunti and Dhanbad for various clients including District Road Construction Department, Drinking Water Department, NTPC, ONGC, SAIL. |

| SARDA has been working as resource organization for watershed related program for forest department. We are supporting capacity building and exposure visit, trainings on different aspects of life on soil and water management, horticulture development and other farm sector activities. Our beneficiaries are local progressive farmers and SHG/JLG members of Giridih, Jaisalmer and Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. | |
| SARDA in agreement of Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand is implementing the Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Janjati Gram Vikas Yojana (MMAJJGVY) and has been providing its services at Skill Training Agency (STAs) for the training of beneficiaries of Schedule tribes dominated villages in 5 districts of Jharkhand i.e. Chatra, Koderma, Ramgarh, Giridih and Khunti. In the FY 2016-17 400 tribal youths has been provided skill development training on agriculture and allied activity. | |
| 5 | SARDA in agreement with District Project Management Unit (DPMU), Neer Nirmal Pariyojna, Khunti, Jharkhand is conducting the baseline survey for assessing the socio-economic status of target groups / communities on Mobile Application (by using Tablet Computers) from the perspective of project goals. |
| FOR NTPC, Hazaribag, SARDA has prepared the DPR titled “Development of Kusumbha Village of Katkamdag Block as Model Village”. | |
